Each narrates her traumatic marital experiences, and demonstrates the innate capacity of African womanhood to transcend unwarranted abandonment by trusted husbands. The musically interacted personal accounts bond them and enables personal, mutual and wider social healing. These women then become the symbols of so many women, not only in South Africa, but around the world, who are also women in waiting.
